BRAND
Beyond the Bio - Sienna Vale

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Some brands are really about the idea behind them, and Beyond the Bio was one of those projects. The concept already had depth built into it. It was never going to be just another podcast identity.
At the centre of the show was the idea of looking past surface level success and into the fuller story of the woman behind it. That gave the brand a very clear tension from the start. It needed to feel honest, bold, and human, while still being visually distinctive and culturally current.
The idea of going beyond the bio became the anchor for everything. Beyond the title. Beyond the polished version. Beyond the quick introduction. That gave the brand a much stronger reason to exist.

THE APPROACH
I started with strategy, because the brand needed a clear emotional and cultural position before anything visual was developed.
This wasn’t just a podcast about impressive women. It was about the fuller conversation underneath that. So I shaped the tone to feel conversational, curious, warm, and slightly unfiltered, but still clear and held together.
From there, I built an identity that felt playful but not childish, and bold without becoming chaotic. The typography, colour palette, and graphic system all worked together to create something expressive, recognisable, and flexible across streaming platforms, social content, and launch assets.
Creative direction was a big part of it too. I wanted the brand to exist as a full visual world, not just a logo system, so the studio set, promo content, and supporting imagery all felt like part of the same universe.

THE OUTCOME
What came out of it was a podcast brand with a much stronger identity and presence. It no longer feels like just a show name and microphone. It feels like a full brand world with depth, recognition, and atmosphere.
What makes it work is that the visual identity reflects the same thing the podcast stands for, openness, personality, honesty, and going beyond the polished version. That alignment makes the brand more memorable.
For me, this is a strong example of founder led branding in a media space. It shows how the right strategy, identity, and creative direction can turn a podcast into something much more distinctive and alive.
If you want, I can also make the approach and outcome sections less repetitive between the two as well.
